This is so delicious! I doubled the topping, subbed honey for syrup because I was out of it, and used cream for the milk because that was what I had on hand.

Made this for the first time at Thanksgiving last month and it was such a hit with our friends, I’m making it again for the family Christmas dinner. Has become a fast favourite – Thank you!! FYI I’m dairy free and low sugar, so I used dairy free marg and stevia brown sugar and nobody could tell the difference ;)

In reply to Anna. Hi Anna, yes, this is a 2 quart square baking dishes, and most 9x13 pans are 3 quarts.

If I want to use a 9×13 pan, should I just multiple the recipe by 1.5 (or what would you recommend)? Thanks for the help!

We were looking for a little decadence in our sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving and this was it!! I toasted the pecans in a cast iron skillet, then chopped them and mixed them in with the sweet potato mixture. Since we had several cooks working on this recipe, and weren’t too coordinated in our plan, we mixed all of the other ingredients together too and didn’t have a separate topping. I would recommend adding the rosemary!

These are delicious! Made them for extended family for Thanksgiving and everyone who likes sweet potatoes loved them. I had leftovers today and they are still so yummy. Definitely my new go-to recipe for sweet potato casserole!

Made these for the second time to bring to Thanksgiving after test-driving them on my immediate family. Whatever you do, don’t skip the rosemary. It needs that dimension to balance the sweetness and make it stand out. My FIL is possibly the pickiest adult eater who has ever existed and he had not one, not two, but THREE helpings. For that alone these are staying in permanent rotation!

Have used this lovely recipe for a few years now for our family’s Thanksgiving dinner. On a whim, we decided to double the topping last year, because it’s delicious, and everyone was raving! There wasn’t a bite left by the end of the night. Pretty indulgent but such a special treat! Thanks for the recipe. Will be a staple for years to come.

I never liked them much growing up, but this recipe changed my mind about sweet potatoes. It’s well balanced and not too sweet. My whole family eats it happily. Five stars!
