Omg, this is the best oatmeal I’ve EVER had!!! Mind seriously blown. I toasted the oats in butter and cooked the coconut milk variation. I then cooled it in the fridge to turn it into a resistant starch, which is better for the gut microbiome. After taking a jog, I warmed the chilled oatmeal in more butter then topped the steaming mass with whole Bulgarian probiotic yogurt, cinnamon, blueberries, chopped up sprouted nut trio, raisins, unsweetened shredded coconut, sesame seeds, bee pollen, and cacao nibs. Off. The. Hook!!!!! I ate it all with a side of sautéed kale and mushrooms and a couple fried eggs. This may be my go-to breakfast moving forward. Yummmmmmm!!!!

I bought steel cut oats from our health food shop on the recommendation of a friend, but they sat in the pantry for six months before I had a chance to look up how to cook them! Thank goodness for the internet and websites like yours with clear information and instructions how to print off the recipe. I cooked my first lot today and used Soy calcium enriched milk because I have osteoporosis, and it tastes fine. I will be adding cinnamon, LSA and a banana to this for my breakfast tomorrow.

I love steel-cut oats and usually make them in my pressure cooker. I have not toasted them before but I will now! My sauté feature should toast them just right before adding the other ingredients. Thanks for the idea!

Delicious! This recipe perfectly cooks the steel cut.
To our individual bowls we added a tablespoon of brown sugar, couple good shakes of cinnamon, and half a sliced banana and we still have enough remaining for two (2) bowls tomorrow:)
