<p><strong>It took me ten tries to get this cookie recipe just right, but it was worth the effort!</strong> These gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are made with just one wholesome flour&mdash;almond flour. They&rsquo;re also sweetened with maple syrup instead of brown sugar, although you likely wouldn&rsquo;t guess it. I love to use natural sweeteners when I can.   </p>



<p>These cookies are golden and lightly crisp around the edges, and tender and chewy in the middle, which is exactly how I want my chocolate chip cookies to be. If you&rsquo;re looking for a gluten-free cookie or a healthier take on a classic Tollhouse cookie, you&rsquo;ve found a winner here. As a bonus, they&rsquo;re remarkably easy to stir together by hand, with no chilling time required!</p>

She loves dark chocolate as much as I do, so I can vouch that these muffins delight kids and adults alike.</p>



<p>These muffins follow the same formula as my other popular &ldquo;healthy&rdquo; muffin recipes, but you won&rsquo;t guess it upon your first (or last) bite. They&rsquo;re made with whole wheat flour if you wish, and they&rsquo;re sweetened with honey instead of plain sugar, which makes them extra delicious. Greek yogurt offers a subtle sour cream-like tang that makes these taste like bakery-style muffins, while providing some extra protein. </p>

<p>I love these pumpkin muffins for several reasons&mdash;</p>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>They&rsquo;re easy enough to make with a three-year-old, which means they&rsquo;re <em>really</em> easy. </li>



<li>They&rsquo;re wholesome but taste like a treat. I feel great about feeding these muffins to our daughter and her cousins. </li>



<li>They freeze well for future snacks. Simply defrost one in the microwave until it&rsquo;s warmed through, and your snack is ready in 20 seconds.</li>
</ol>



<p>I&rsquo;ve enjoyed baking with almond flour lately because it lets the other flavors shine, whereas regular flour can dull them. I&rsquo;ve also been mindful of my blood sugar levels and appreciate that almond flour is lower in carbohydrates than grain-based flours, like all-purpose and whole wheat flour. </p>



<p>I&rsquo;ll always be a huge fan of my <a href="https://jyotirecipe.pages.dev/healthy-maple-pumpkin-muffins/">Healthy Pumpkin Muffins</a>, which are made with whole wheat flour and sweetened with maple syrup. This gluten-free recipe has much in common with that one.</p>

<p><strong>This recipe was inspired by an appetizer we ordered at Lidia&rsquo;s,</strong> a local Kansas City restaurant owned by renowned chef Lidia Bastianich. Some white bean dips are downright unappetizing&mdash;they can be gloppy, too salty, or flavorless&mdash;but not this one. The Kalamata olives lend welcome richness in both texture and flavor.</p>

<p>This recipe was inspired by a similar dip that I grabbed at Whole Foods before hosting girls&rsquo; night (Falafel King brand). A couple of my friends follow dairy-free diets, so I&rsquo;m always looking for fun options that satisfy our requirements. As the night went on, we all fell in love with this vegan dip&mdash;it&rsquo;s creamy, rich yet fresh, and satisfying. It&rsquo;s irresistible.</p>



<p>So, I combined my <a href="https://jyotirecipe.pages.dev/best-tahini-sauce-recipe/">Best Tahini Sauce</a> (truly the best) with the herbs from my <a href="https://jyotirecipe.pages.dev/easy-green-goddess-dressing-recipe/">Easy Green Goddess Dressing</a>, and here you have it. You can make this recipe with any combination of cilantro, parsley, basil, dill and/or mint. Add a small handful of fresh tarragon if you can find it for that characteristic green goddess flavor. <p><strong>We served this dessert at our wedding over four years ago,</strong> and it&rsquo;s high time to share the recipe with you! Our family has been calling this recipe &ldquo;chocolate mousse&rdquo; for years but it&rsquo;s much closer to a French recipe called <span style="font-weight: 400;"><em>pots de cr&egrave;me,</em> which translates to jars of cream.&nbsp;</span></p>



<p>These chocolate <span style="font-weight: 400;">pots de cr&egrave;me are luscious, creamy, rich, and decadent. They are such fun desserts to offer at a party in individual servings. A little goes a long way, and that&rsquo;s why I love them. I&rsquo;d rather have a small portion of incredible dessert than a large portion of so-so dessert.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>This miniature dessert comes from my husband&rsquo;s Great-Aunt Betty.</strong> I wonder how many times Betty has whipped up this recipe in her vibrant 97 years. My husband&rsquo;s mom makes them now, and you&rsquo;re almost guaranteed to find these little treats in their freezer at any given time. We were thrilled when <a href="https://www.dolcebakes.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">our wedding bakery</a> agreed to make the family recipe to serve alongside our wedding cake!</p>



<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>This foolproof recipe comes together quickly in the blender&mdash;</strong>no baking, no straining, no fussing. <p>This recipe is a derivative of my <a href="https://jyotirecipe.pages.dev/butternut-squash-mac-and-cheese/">Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese</a> recipe, which has been a big hit. While that recipe relies on roasted butternut squash for depth of flavor, this recipe calls for canned pumpkin pur&eacute;e.</p>



<p>To make up for the roasted flavor, this recipe benefits from deeply toasting spices in butter&mdash;pumpkin spice blend, garlic powder and onion powder. Then, we cook a can of pumpkin pur&eacute;e in the flavored butter for a minute before adding pasta and water. Later on, we&rsquo;ll stir in some cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese and Parmesan. The end result is magical.</p>
