I am a meat lover but this may even be better than meat lasagna. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough liquid to cook the oven-ready pasta but it came out great. I followed the recipe exactly, other than using whatever cheese I had on hand, which was marble. Saving this one in my recipe book!

Hi Collier, I would use the larger pan. I use a 9×9, and I think a 8×8 wouldn’t accommodate all the layers. I have had readers share they’ve had good luck with up to a 9×13 pan.

Hi Amanda,

This is great for meal prep in the freezer. You can freeze it prior to baking in the pan, covered, then defrost overnight in the refrigerator and bake as directed. You can also freeze individual slices and thaw and reheat. Both work well.
